My brother-in-law recommended it to me,and I thought it was hilariously witty and adventurous.Tiffany is a very likable character,and the Nac Mac Feegles have wonderful scottish accents(their one-and-only swear word:Crivens! which can mean anything from oh goodness,to I'm about to start a fight)and other things. There are 4 books in the series(I just finished the 2nd book),and they are The Wee free men, A hat full of sky,Wintersmith, and I shall wear Midnight. I love them so far,and can't wait to read the others!
PS. Be prepared to laugh really,really hard.

Thor

On Thursday last week, I saw Thor at the cheap theater. It is about Thor,the Norse god of Thunder.And here's the plot:

The warrior Thor is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard by his father Odin for his arrogance and sent to Earth to live among humans. Falling in love with scientist Jane Foster teaches Thor much-needed lessons, and his new-found strength comes into play as a villain from his homeland sends dark forces toward Earth. 

This is a huge summer for Marvel. First Thor,then X-men:First Class,and then Captain America. And as far as I know,they all did extremely well in the box-office.

Thor was awesome.I really enjoyed it(I almost cried), and the battles were relatively bloodless.Only one kiss passes between Thor and Jane,which you see in the trailer.Darcy(Jane's assistant) is hilarious,and the acting was really well done,the cast including Natalie Portman,Chris Hemsworth,and Anthony Hopkins.8/10 stars, and I can't wait for the sequel!

The Goose Girl By Shannon Hale

She can whisper to horses and communicate with birds, but the crown princess Ani has a difficult time finding her place in the royal family and measuring up to her imperial mother. When she is shipped off to a neighboring kingdom as a bride, her scheming entourage mounts a bloody mutiny to replace her with a jealous lady-in-waiting, Selia, and to allow an inner circle of guards more power in the new land. Barely escaping with her life, Ani disguises herself as a goose girl and wanders on the royal estate. Does she have the pluck to reclaim her rightful place?

  
I really enjoy Shannon Hale's style of writing.I had previously read The Princess Academy by her,and I loved that book. The Goose Girl  was based off of a Grimm's fairytale, where a princess has to become a goose girl before she can become queen. There is just enough romance to make it sweet,but not mushy,and it is a bit violent(mostly swords,etc..),plus there's no swearing. There are 3 more books to the series(The books of Bayern), except they're through the eyes of her friends,and are different adventures.I have not read them yet,though. I recommend The Goose Girl to anyone who doesn't mind violence and a longer book. 8/10

Hi everyone! I am a HUGE fan of ND Wilson's books(the 100 Cupboards trilogy,Leepike Ridge), and I was thrilled to find out that he was coming out with another series. The title of the series is The Ashtown Burials. The first book is The Dragon's Tooth.~~


For two years, Cyrus and Antigone Smith have run a sagging roadside motel with their older brother, Daniel. Nothing ever seems to happen. Then a strange old man with bone tattoos arrives, demanding a specific room.

Less than 24 hours later, the old man is dead. The motel has burned, and Daniel is missing. And Cyrus and Antigone are kneeling in a crowded hall, swearing an oath to an order of explorers who have long served as caretakers of the world's secrets, keepers of powerful relics from lost civilizations, and jailers to unkillable criminals who have terrorized the world for millennia. 



That is the plot of the book. Now what is REALLY cool is that ND Wilson wrote and directed a trailer for the new book. And it stars Joel Courteney(Super 8) and Heather Wilson.

Colter Stevens, a army pilot, who's last memory was on a Afghanistan helicopter, wakes up on a  Chicago commuter train. However, he discovers he has assumed the identity of another man. 8 minutes later, the train blows up and Colter finds himself in a sort of pod. He then talks to a person named Goodwin, who tells him that he has to go back and find out who the bomber is. He is sent back to exactly 8 minutes before. He tries to find the bomber and fails.The bomb goes off, and once again finding himself in the pod.He is sent back again and yet still doesn't find anything. He then, once again in the pod, asks Goodwin and Rutledge, a scientist in charge, what is going on. They tell him that he a part of a project that can put someone in another person's consciousness for the last 8 minutes of their life.Then Stevens just asks why he can't try and save the train. He is told that....

Oooo... This is a really good thriller. It makes you think, and I was biting my nails(which I don't really do). I loved it. There was some violence(mostly trains blowing up and brief gunfire) and then language(very brief,but strong,and other milder swears) and probably 1 or 2 kisses. My rating : PG-13 for sequences of intense action, brief violence, and some language. 9/10 stars
