A nightmarish danger threatens from the other side of reality . . .
Armed with only a frying pan and her common sense, young witch-to-be Tiffany Aching must defend her home against the monsters of Fairyland. Luckily she has some very unusual help: the local Nac Mac Feegle—aka the Wee Free Men—a clan of fierce, sheep-stealing, sword-wielding, six-inch-high blue men.
Together they must face headless horsemen, ferocious grimhounds, terrifying dreams come true, and ultimately the sinister Queen of the Elves herself.
My brother-in-law recommended it to me,and I thought it was hilariously witty and adventurous.Tiffany is a very likable character, and the Nac Mac Feegles have wonderful scottish accents(their one-and-only swear word:Crivens! which can mean anything from oh goodness,to I'm about to start a fight)and other things. There are 4 books in the series(I just finished the 2nd book),and they are The Wee free men, A hat full of sky,Wintersmith, and I shall wear Midnight. I love them so far,and can't wait to read the others!
PS. Be prepared to laugh really, really hard.
