MATCHED BY ALLY CONDIE

IN THE SOCIETY, OFFICIALS DECIDE.
WHO YOU LOVE. WHERE YOU WORK. WHEN YOU DIE.
Cassia has always trusted their choices. It's hardly any price to pay for a long life, the perfect job, the ideal mate. So when her best friend appears on the Matching screen, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is the one... until she sees another face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black. Now Cassia  is faced with impossible choices: between Xander and Ky, between the life she's known and a path no one has ever dared- between perfection and passion.

I enjoyed Matched. It was very well written, considering it was Ally Condie's debut novel, and it was interesting. It was written in first person(which seems to be the new thing, lately). The book was rather slow, though, until about 150 pages from the end, and that's were it starts to become a nail biter. :)
It is the first book to the Matched Trilogy, the second book Crossed, just having come out on November 1, 2011. Matched  is 366 pages long, and was published by Dutton Books, 2010.
I recommend it. 8/10
