Half Magic

Jane, Mark, Katherine, and Martha are having the dullest summer ever. If only something would happen. Then something does. It all starts when Jane finds a dime(or what looks like a dime) on the sidewalk and adds it to her spending money. Then she wishes for a fire or something to make their day exciting. Immediately the children hear fire sirens. A little girl's play house is on fire!
Mark, Katerine, and Martha all stare at Jane. Is she magic? Jane (when nobody's looking) puts the "dime" in a bag hanging on her closet door. Then she proclaims that she has a headache, and she was going upstairs to take a nap. Jane actually does have a headache, but is trying to solve what happened. Martha follows her up with the cat, Carrie. Jane is in bed, and Martha leaning against the bag wishes that Carrie could talk. Carrie talked! BUT it was like gibberish, so they could only half make out what she was saying. The children finally figure it out. You have to wish for twice as much as you want, and you'll get the whole thing of what you want. The fire, for instance, was in a play house, very small. Follow Jane, Mark, Katherine, and Martha as they find out the charm's full power.
I really like this book. It was very easy and fun, and I think any grade will really enjoy it!
ENJOY!! <3
