I read this in less than 24 hours. It is really touching story, written by the author of Ella Enchanted. It's written in first person, and half of the talking is sung.
Just one word of advice : Don't like anyone to quickly. ;) I almost did that.
I would read this one again, and I would recommend any of Gail Carson Levine's books.

Wicked : The MOVIE!!

I just found out that Hollywood's making a movie of "Wicked"!! I CAN'T wait!
It's coming out in 2014(darn!) and so is still in development.
But it is AWESOME because it's still going to be a musical. I'm not quite sure who will qualify for the roles,but I think someone from Glee and Anne Hathaway(and other actresses). I wish Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth weren't to old. :`(
I will be seeing in the theater(unless it's R) ;)

                            It's pretty much my favorite Broadway EVER!!
ps. DO NOT READ THE BOOK. It's not like I didn't like it(haha, I only read the few pages),but there was A LOT mature things, and I would not advice it.

Brave ~~ a Pixar film

Sarah my older sister just showed me this trailer for the Pixar movie "Brave".
It's the story of a Scottish princess and her love for archery. Something like that.

Anyway,it's released next summer, and I think it looks really neat. And here's the trailer..... Enjoy!
p.s. That's Gerard Butler's voice!! He's awesome...

Inkheart - Cornelia Funke

I have just finished the "Ink" Trilogy by Cornelia Funke. The books in order : Inkheart, Inkspell, and Inkdeath. Here's the plot :
Meggie’s father, Mo, has an wonderful and sometimes terrible ability. When he reads aloud from books, he brings the characters to life--literally. Mo discovered his power when Maggie was just a baby. He read so lyrically from the the book Inkheart, that several of the book’s wicked characters ended up blinking and cursing on his cottage floor. Then Mo discovered something even worse--when he read Capricorn and his henchmen out of Inkheart, he accidentally read Meggie’s mother in.
Meggie, now a young lady, knows nothing of her father's bizarre and powerful talent, only that Mo still refuses to read to her. Capricorn, a being so evil he would "feed a bird to a cat on purpose, just to watch it being torn apart," has searched for Meggie's father for years, wanting to twist Mo's powerful talent to his own dark means. Finally, Capricorn realizes that the best way to lure Mo to his remote mountain hideaway is to use his beloved, oblivious daughter Meggie as bait!
Thus it begins.......
Inkheart is a must read. Cornelia Funke was a genius to think this up.
There is some language in the all of them, the most in Inkspell. The violence is not graphic, but they do talk about torturing methods a tiny bit in Inkdeath. And there is some kissing.
My favorite characters are Meggie,Dustfinger,Farid,Gwin,and Doria.But there are tons more characters that are really good.And the bad guys are very bad. It has a twist on all fantasy books,and I definitely recommend this. 5/5 stars.

The Eagle: The Movie

Last night I saw The Eagle,which I have been waiting to see ever since December.I was not disappointed. Which was nice,because in general,it didn't do very well. The story plot is:
"In 120 A.D.,Centurion Flavius Aquila set out with the Ninth Legion to subdue an uprising in the North. The 5,000 men and their treasured eagle standard were never seen(or heard of) again. 20 years later,the commander's son,Marcus Flavius Aquila sets out to solve the mystery of his father's disappearance with the help of his british slave,Esca."
In 2nd century Rome,the eagle standard and honor were everything,as the saying went:"Eagle lost,honor lost.Honor lost,all lost."
So if you lost the eagle,that was one of the biggest disgraces and the legion could never be reformed.
Marcus has dedicated his life to be the best soldier that he possibly can be to restore his family's name and honor.
But then something happens(I won't say what)and the only way to restore the honor is for him to go find the eagle.
Here's my review.
The Eagle is rated PG-13 for Battle sequences and brief Disturbing Images.
It was violent,yes,but most of it wasn't very bloody(except swords and wounds). Two boys get killed(one in a fight,and one deliberately)and blood is shown. There was gladiator fight and a beheading(far-off). About on Return of the King level. There was very brief language in the beginning.The only thing that I didn't like was the screenplay. It was done by Jeremy Brock,and it was just wayyy too simple.:(But the acting was good,the cast including Channing Tatum,Jamie Bell,Mark Strong and Donald Sutherland.
It was really neat,because Channing Tatum(Marcus)and Jamie Bell(Esca) both did all but 2 of their stunts,including all the horse riding. And there was no CGI in this movie. The scenery was beautiful(being in Scotland)and the music score was really good. The movie was very well made.My rating is 7/10 stars.
ps. Don't watch the UNRATED VERSION!!! It had more blood and gore and it wasn't really extended at all. Nothing better than the theatrical.
