Narnia : Prince Caspian

HEY EVERYONE!
This post is on the 4th Narnia book "Prince Caspian". It is one of the better known ones ,as it was been made into a movie in 2008. I forgot to tell you, no matter how long you are in Narnia,no time goes by in our world. So you might be in Narnia for 100 years,but when you go back,it's the exact same time when you left.So here we are in England,exactly 1 year since the Pevensies discovered Narnia. They are in a train going to boarding school.
They are sitting at a quiet country station (the kids are the only ones there)
when Lucy starts up with a cry,and Edmund tells Peter to stop pulling him.
Peter proclaims that he wasn't doing anything,to which Susan says to all catch hands. Sounds like magic! Suddenly,they're sitting in a very thick forest,in a bramble patch.Lucy thinks it's Narnia ,but Peter says they need more proof. So they get up and after sometime, Edmund sees an object hanging from a tree. It's an apple! There were lots of apple trees,and as they explore,they find ruins of what looks like a castle.It couldn't be Cair Paravel! But it is,as they find the treasury,and Peter's sword,Susan's bow and arrows,and Lucy's cordial(which they received from Father Christmas).
But Susan's magic horn isn't there.Where is it??Did it call them??What happened to Cair Paravel????
Why where they called to Narnia??? Was Narnia in trouble??
What where the Telmarines doing in Narnia??
Will they save the rightful king from the usurper Miraz???
The book is SO good and it's a very good read.

Narnia : The Horse and His Boy

Horse and his boy is my favorite Narnia book.It is the third Narnia book,but most people read Prince Caspian right after The Lion,The Witch,and The Wardrobe. It set when Peter was High King in Narnia and is about a boy (age approx. 13) named Shasta,and he lives in a small fishing hut with Arsheesh,a fisherman,in Calormen,a land north of Narnia.Shasta was found,as a baby,in a small boat by Arsheesh,close to death. The fisherman raises him,though no better than a slave. The story starts with Shasta overhearing Arsheesh talking to a rich stranger about selling him for a slave. Shasta decides to run away with the stranger's horse. Shasta is shocked (and his eyes put saucers to shame) when the horse starts to talk!! He tells Shasta that his name is Bree and he is from Narnia,where almost ALL the animals talk. Bree tells Shasta that he was captured when he was a foal and was forced pretend to be dumb like the other horses.Now was their chance to escape! When all was commenced in the hut and it was silent, Bree and Shasta flee. Their goal is to get to Narnia and the North.

One night, they are chased by lions and they meet into another horse and rider. The rider turns out to be a girl,named Aravis,and she too is running for close to the same reasons. And her horse,named Hwin,talks too!They decide to escape together.Will Shasta,Aravis,Bree,and Whin be able to get to Narnia and the North?? Can they do it?? Read the book,dears.It is sure to put you on the edge of your seat.(At least,that's what I think).Enjoy!!!

Narnia :The Lion,The Witch,and The Wardrobe

The Lion,the Witch,and the Wardrobe is probably the best known of all the Narnia books. It was been made into a motion picture in 2005 and did very well.
The book is about Peter,Susan,Edmund,and Lucy Pevensie,when they are sent to Professor Kirke's house in the country during World War 1. Lucy stumbles upon an ancient wardrobe,while playing hide'n'seek. She goes inside,thinking it a good spot to hide.But there's no back! 'Crunch.' There's snow under her feet! Lucy follows a light through the many trees of the forest. It's freezing. She comes upon a lamp-post!In the middle of the forest!!But the strangest part is to come. She meets a Fawn!!! His name is Mr. Tumnus and they have tea together at his house.He tells her that the the magical land she is in is called Narnia and it is under an evil spell of always winter BUT NEVER CHRISTMAS! He tells her that the person who cast the spell is an evil witch,the White Witch. Lucy hurries back to tell her Peter,Susan,and Edmund.But they don't believe her!! Will Lucy be able to convince them that they are needed to break the spell??Will the rightful king return to his throne??? Read the book and follow the rest of the adventure!!!!

Narnia : Magician's Nephew

Magician's Nephew is the first book in the well known series "The Chronicles of Narnia" . They were written by C.S. Lewis. "The Magician's Nephew" is placed in 20th century London. The main characters are Polly Plummer and Digory Kirke, next door neighbors. The antagonists are Digory's evil uncle,Uncle Andrew and Queen Jadis. The story starts with Polly and Digory exploring in the rafters,which in those days,connected the houses together by their attics. They accidently fall into Uncle Andrew's laboratory which Digory has strictly been forbidden to enter. There they encounter Uncle Andrew ,who gets the best of them with magical rings,and sends them to the Land between the worlds. The Land between the worlds holds portals (in the shape of small ponds) where ,if you jump into one with the magical rings on, it will send you to the portal's world. Polly and Digory jump into one of the pools and, quite by accident, free the evil queen, Jadis.,who was under a magical spell. She gets into London and reeks havoc where ever she goes. Will Polly and Digory be able to get Jadis back to her world,where she belong??

A funny fact is,C.S. Lewis wrote "Magician's Nephew" after all the other books were released. He thought there should be a beginning to his beloved world , Narnia. ENJOY!!!

The Inheritance Cycle : By Christopher Paolini

The Inheritance Cycle is better known by the 1st book of the cycle,Eragon.
The cycle is set in the land,Alagaesia(created by Christopher Paolini) and follows a farm boy named Eragon,after he finds a mystical blue stone in the mountains.A dragon he names Saphira hatches from the stone,which turned out be an egg.The antagonist,the evil King Galbatorix,finds out about Eragon and Saphira,and sends his servants,the Ra'zac,in an effort to capture them.Eragon and Saphira are forced to flee their home,and decide to go to the Varden,a group of rebels set to be the downfall of Galbatorix.The 2nd book is called Eldest,which follows Eragon and Saphira in their training as a Dragon Rider.The 3rd book,Brisingr,follows the battles and such to gain the land of Alagaesia from Galbatorix.
Author C.P. started writing Eragon when he was 15 years old.He is currently finishing the last book to the cycle.If you would like more info,go to http://www.shurtugal.com. Eragon has also been made into a blockbuster movie,though they did not follow the book,changed characters,which was very frustrating.It starred Ed Speelers,as Eragon,Sienna Guillory,as Arya,and Garret Hedlund,as Murtagh.The books are very good,very exciting,and they are somewhat like Lord of the rings.ENJOY!!
